Sasha Grey, Porn Star, Reads To Elementary School, Parents Outraged.

This shows the hypocrisy of parents, let me tell you. Sasha Grey shows up to a school and reads kids a story. They didn’t introduce her to the kids as a former porn actress or anything. Parents, who probably own a few of her movies, were the ones who knew the name and got upset.

What is the big deal? A children’s book was read to children on Read Across America Day by a woman that USED TO, I repeat, USED TO work in porn movies. While she is no longer working in that industry, she by no means hides the fact that she used to earn her money taking shots to the face from Ron Jeremy’s jizz. Yet this event at the school had NOTHING to do with porn. She was not identified to the children as being a former porn actress and she did not use her time to attempt to recruit the youngsters for an internship at Vivid Video.

People have such a hang up with sex it’s actually shocking that America keeps creating little water-heads to fill up the schools like they are. If we were talking about a teacher showing third graders Sasha Grey’s porn films, fine, protest and be outraged. I’d be right there with you. But someone looking to show kids the joys of reading, how reading cannot only teach you stuff but can be fun and enjoyable as well should be applauded for their effort. And for every person that ignorantly states that women in porn are victims of men and are unwitting rape victims should be glad that a FORMER porn star is trying to get kids to love reading. Based on their mixed up logic, you’d think they’d LOVE someone who used to work in that industry being involved in something encouraging kids to be smart.

Sasha Grey did a wonderful thing for those children. Their parents had to screw everything up based on their own ignorant hangups. If you moved the time of this taking place back to the 1950′s and you make Sasha Grey a black woman and not a former porn star, you’d get the same ignorant results.

And I know in my heart how this became an issue. Some kid came home and mentioned her name to her parents when they talked about who read to them, the father got a goofy smile on his face, and the mother, jealous and insecure about the fact her husband watches porn, decided to make an issue out of this when there really isn’t one.
